Via Volontari del Sangue command in Italy Gets Funding to Acquire BolaWrap
The municipal council of Sesto San Giovanni approved a 17 million euro maneuver on Wednesday, May 29, to utilize part of the administration surplus, enhancing municipal services and supporting mandate objectives. Mayor Roberto Di Stefano highlighted the turnaround from a 28 million euro deficit in 2017 to a current state of financial stability, enabling growth and improved services.
Key allocations include nearly 5 million euros for public and green construction, with 2.1 million euros dedicated to school and public housing maintenance, and 1.4 million euros for the seismic adaptation of the carabinieri barracks. Additionally, 85 thousand euros are designated for local police and civil protection, including the purchase of BolaWrap devices and tasers for the Via Volontari del Sangue command. Other significant investments include 700 thousand euros for public green area redevelopment, 1.5 million euros for road maintenance, and funds for various technological, cultural, and social projects.
